Heaven Is For Real
Time for another Movie Addict Review!
Last night I went to see Heave is For Real. And if you don't know me to well, I don't cry at movies. like at all. I think in all my 18 years I've cried at maybe 2 or 3 movies. I teared up like 5 times while watching this movie. It was sweet and just so heart melting. I never did read the book (though now I want to), but I watched interviews with the kid. Watching them take what he said and make it come to life was beautiful. I felt like though they could have done a bit more with elaborating on the story, cause I'm sure there are others out there who haven't read the book yet either.
I was told by someone who saw it before me that it was like a documentary, I have to disagree. It felt just like a normal movie to me. I didn't feel like I was watching a documentary at all.
The child they chose to play Colton, Connor Corum, was very good. He was cute and played his part so well. Greg Kinner was also very good. He's in a lot of family like movies and it works on him. He played the father so well that I almost believed that they actually were father and son.
During the movie one of my favorite hymns kept coming up. The movie seemed to be based around the song "Come thou Fount". Which is a song that I just love.
If you have not seen this movie yet I would go and see it. It's cute and it might even bring you to tears. It's for sure a movie that all should see. Christian or not, it's a wonderful story. I hope you all go and see it. It's definitely worth it.
